Do you put the Gender Area in 3D?
No, we do not. We only put this part in 2D.
What can I do to prepare for my session in order to get the best pictures possible?
After performing over 20,000 prenatal scans at our offices, we know that a baby's Amniotic Fluid level highly affects the reults you'll receive in your 2D, 3D and 4D pictures. To prepare for your session, 4 to 5 days prior to your appointment, keep a record of how much water you're drinking. Make sure that you're having at least 8 to 9 glasses of water each day for that period.
When should I come in for a 2D ultrasound?
2D Ultrasounds may be performed anytime after 16 weeks and 3 days.
When is the ideal time for a 3D/4D Ultrasound?
We offer Live 3D/4D ultrasounds anytime after 20 weeks. Best results are normally achieved from 27-32 weeks. Generally this is the best time to get well defined features and a good amount of fetal movement. Most of the 3D/4D images on our site are taken between 27-32 weeks. As your due date nears, baby becomes a little crowded and therefore we suggest you schedule your visit before 32 weeks.
What is the difference between 2D and Live 3D/4D Ultrasound?
2D Ultrasound, most commonly called a regular or traditional ultrasound, uses sound waves to produce a flat image of the baby, seen from one angle. 3D Ultrasound waves make a sweeping motion which fills in the outline and produces a wonderful image of your baby's skin and surface features, such as the nose, eyes, lips and cheeks.4D Ultrasound, commonly called Live 3D, is a 3D image that is continually updated allowing you the ability to see your baby's movement in real-time!All Sneak Peek Ultrasound locations utilize state of art equipment which is capable of producing Digital 2D as well as incredible Live 3D/4D images, which are burned directly onto DVD'S for you! Additionally we use the highest quality digital 2D and 3D still images.
Do I need a full bladder?
No. We want to make this experience as pleasurable as possible. We do recommend keeping yourself well hydrated for several days prior to your visit. We suggest you have at least 8 glasses of water each day. This is especially important in the week leading up to your appointment. Moms may want to have some juice while in transit to your appointment to get your little one awake and ready for Showtime!
Does the maternal size affect the quality of the image?
While the state-of-the-art equipment used by all of our locations does allow us to make adjustments, maternal size may be a factor. Therefore, we make the following recommendations:Small framed clients, 5'2" and under: We want your little one to have room to move so we suggest 26-30 weeks for 3D/4D imaging.Fuller figured clients: For gender determination, we suggest being at least 18 weeks and 29-32 weeks for 3D/4D imaging. If you have any questions as to what time may be best for your appointment don't hesitate to call the location you'll be visiting. We're happy to answer any questions you have.
What if I don't want to know my baby's gender?
No problem, just let our technician know your wishes and we will do our best to stay clear of any gender images! We don't want to spoil the fun for those who wish to wait!
Can I bring my family and friends?
Of course! We are here to help make your Sneak Peek experience as fun and memorable as possible for you and all those whom you wish to share this event with!
